We have been debating what to do with the CDC lifting the mask mandate.
North Carolina NCDHHS will continue to have strong public health recommendations for individuals to continue to protect one another until more people are vaccinated. People who are not vaccinated should wear a mask and maintain distance in all indoor public settings and in outdoor settings when they can’t maintain six feet of distance. But that anyone who is not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all should still wear a mask indoors.
The CDC and North Carolina health has left each business owner to determine their own masking requirements. We are not feeling ready to be indoors without a mask on unless everyone is fully vaccinated. We had our first house full of vaccinated people. We must say, it was lovely to see everyone’s smiling face this morning.
Arbor House, for now, will still require masks in our indoor common areas and six-foot distancing outside unless you can show proof of being completely vaccinated either by card or a picture of your card via phone. Jim and I will continue to put our masks on whenever you walk in and will only take them off with that confirmation.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this decision-making process. No one wants to take off their mask more than we do. But, we want to make sure we do so safely!
