We have guests who frequently return. On one of their last visits, they said they had become allergic to pork. We told them it would be no problem since most of our sausage is typically chicken based. We are so sorry you won’t be able to have bacon anymore. They both had alarmed faces and said they were allergic to the sausage seasoning. By this time we were all smiling. They fessed up they just wanted bacon every morning.

Arbor House Bacon

Arbor House Bacon is so yummy, repeat guests request it when they make their reservation.


  • Wright’s Thick Sliced Pecan Smoked Bacon or any Thick Sliced Smoked Bacon
  • 1 Tbs Brown Sugar per slice
  • 1/4 tsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper per slice


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cove a baking sheet pan with foil (to ease cleaning)
  • Place a baking rack on the sheet pan
  • Lay out strips of bacon on rack
  • Coat with Brown Sugar and Cracked Black Pepper
  • Bake for 45 minutes (or until desired doneness is reached)
